Heritage Meets Modernity

Materials, textures, and colours were chosen to achieve a timeless appeal. This is reflected in the design choices of light ash timber flooring, Lexicon cool whites, grey airy concrete, and black aluminium window and door frames throughout the home. The character cottage was linked to a contemporary extension with the addition of a glass and black steel door frame which connects the two spaces, making a clear statement of the transition from old to new. The premium quality of Iver’s architectural hardware was critical to ensure the space was elevated throughout every detail.

The Como Lever was selected in Matt Black to complement the black door frames and internal doors, creating a sleek and contemporary look. The large galley kitchen, opening to the outdoor area via large cantilever windows, features shark tooth drawers and push-to-touch cabinets. For functionality and style, Brunswick Cabinet Pulls were featured on the integrated fridges and freezer, and the hidden appliance cupboard.

Retaining the history of the original 1900s cottage, Iver’s Cambridge Knob was selected for the original parts of the home. A contemporary Matt Black finish was utilised to ensure the connection of hardware throughout the home. The statement worker’s cottage front door, with original stained-glass panelling either side, features the Sarlat Centre Door Knob in Satin Nickel creating a stunning contrast against the dark Monument door.
