Overview

The Ambers at Port Stephens is a beautifully transformed retreat. Originally built in 1989 by Matt and Catherine Bliss as a family home, the property has now been reimagined as a stylish Airbnb getaway. Once a place for the Bliss family to gather and grow, it has been updated to offer a peaceful, resort-style escape.

Texture and Harmony 

Led by Kain Bliss and the team at Greenbuild Constructions, the renovation features thoughtful design elements that create a sophisticated yet relaxed aesthetic. Designers Lauren Charge and Jenn Bliss worked to preserve the home’s warm, family-oriented spirit while creating a stylish, relaxing environment. The result is a retreat that invites guests to relax, connect, and make lasting memories. 

At The Ambers, the design combines natural textures with a neutral colour palette to create an inviting atmosphere. Rich, tactile materials like natural stone and timber are integrated into every space, grounding the home’s aesthetic and giving it a warm, welcoming feel. Soft, neutral tones are balanced by touches of darker accents, creating a harmony that flows through the open-plan areas and into the more intimate spaces of the home.

Hardware that Unites

Iver’s Berlin collection in Signature Brass was selected to bring a sense of unity and cohesion throughout the entire property. The warm tones of the Signature Brass finish adding a luxurious depth to the spaces. The Berlin Lever with Oval Backplate brings a refined modern style to each room, offering a bronzed touch that complements the natural textures of timber and stone, while the Berlin Pull Handle introduces sleek, contemporary lines that flow seamlessly through the home. The Rectangular Sliding Door Pull Passage Kit further elevates the home’s cohesive design, providing a minimalist, functional accent that ties the hardware together.

Iver’s whole-of-home approach ensured that every detail—from the entry pull handles to internal levers—was thoughtfully selected to blend form with function, creating a space that feels both beautifully designed and entirely practical.
