The Newport Project was an 18 month endeavour to construct a stunning coastal beach house. Designed by Gud Studio, with interior design led by Kate Lawrence and executed by Rowland Building Co, this architectural beach house is situated on a 650 square metre block and spans three expansive levels. The mission was to create an immersive experience combining functional elements with aesthetic appeal through curated design and hardware choices.<\/p>\n

Seaside Sophistication<\/h2>\n

The owners aspired to have a timeless beach house that encapsulated their personal style while serving as a sanctuary for years to come. In Kate\u2019s design philosophy, architectural hardware plays a pivotal role in a space. Rather than regarding it as a mere functional element, it was embraced as an opportunity to enhance the overall ambiance. This led to the selection of Iver\u2019s Helsinki range in Brushed Gold PVD. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Brushed Gold PVD was the perfect choice for this build.<\/span><\/span> Its resistance to coastal and moisture-rich environments ensures a long-lasting finish that will withstand the elements ensuring longevity and style. Its durability makes it an excellent option for any interior or exterior setting, whether residential or commercial.<\/p>\n

The hardware selections were made to align with the design concept, infusing the space with a subtle seaside sophistication. Every hinge, handle, and lock contributed to the overarching story, adding depth and character to the home, elevating the overall design aesthetic.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
