Maple is a part of the Linnaeus Collection, which consists of various accommodations in the NSW south coast town of Berry. The properties have been purposely built as holiday accommodations, with each guest room being designed to feel and function like a hotel room. Interior designer, Simone from Soul Home was able to create an environment that offers a sense of comfort and homeliness, yet differs from the typical everyday home. The design concept was centred around a timeless monochrome color scheme which was enriched by incorporating organic materials and finishes throughout.<\/p>\n

Signature Design<\/h2>\n

The inspiration for these properties was for them to feel like they belong in the quaint town of Berry and incorporate the Linnaeus Collection story, with their own signature style. Simone’s favourite finish from Iver is signature brass and knew immediately that this would be the ideal design choice for this property.<\/p>\n

The joinery featured throughout the home is a dark timber and the aim was to have handles that add drama instead of contrast. The Helsinki cabinet pulls used in the kitchen did exactly that; the strong lines and dominant shape emphasized the craftsmanship of the joinery design.<\/p>\n

The teak sliding door in the property has been paired with the Berlin pull handle. This complements the style of contemporary meets classic within the additional living space and the property as a whole. The custom teak front door also features a keyless entry lock, paired with the Annecy lever. The depth in the teak doors and the timeless design of the lever, creates the perfect entrance.<\/p>\n
